Γεια σας! I’m Katerina, a post-doc researcher currently at Athens University Of Economics and Business in Athens, Greece, specializing in Computational Linguistics.

I obtained my PhD from the University of Bologna under the supervision of Alberto Barrón-Cedeño. My research focused on Hate Speech Detection, and in particular the problem of the definition, guideline construction, and data labeling. If you stumble upon my thesis, don't forget to play my interactive acknowledgments game where I go around virtually thanking the people that helped me in that journey.

My (current) research interests mainly involve computational phraseology, pragmatics, and metaphor as well as discussion moderation and facilitation. I will also let you in on my little dark secret: Every time I do research, there is always a little voice in my head whispering "Make it cross-lingual...".
